OnlyOffice Docs 9.3 adds password protected PDF editing, link tools, and signatures
ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.3 has been launched with updates across its PDF, document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors, along with desktop and admin changes.
The PDF Editor can now unlock and edit password protected PDFs when the correct password is provided. It also adds link management for inserting and editing links to external resources or internal pages, and keeps those links active even in commenting mode. PDF form signing is expanded with typed signatures, drawn signatures using mouse or touch input, and optional background removal when uploading a signature image.
In the Document Editor, a new multipage view shows pages side by side, and comments now assign a unique color per user with clearer start and end markers for the selected text. The Spreadsheet Editor adds a simplex based solver in the data tab, supports dynamic arrays that spill results into neighboring cells, and introduces REGEXTEST, REGEXREPLACE, and REGEXEXTRACT. Large spreadsheets over 3 MB should open faster. Presentations now support GIF playback in slideshow mode, and other additions include hyperlinks on images and shapes across editors, saving to Markdown, viewing TSV files, Box and Dropbox integration in the desktop editors, and a new print panel in the diagram viewer.
