Openvibe expands its decentralized social feed with support for RSS news sources

Openvibe, the app that unifies content from decentralized platforms like Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, and nostr into a single feed, has now announced support for RSS feeds in its latest update, bringing news sites and blogs into the same platform and allowing users to expand their content scope while keeping everything in one single feed.

Users can add RSS feeds manually, import them via OPML files, or follow suggested sources. Feeds appear in the main home feed, a dedicated RSS section, or in custom groups. Articles open in a clean reading mode within the app, with an option to switch to the browser. A Performance Mode toggle also lets users disable image loading to reduce resource use.

While RSS can also track podcasts and YouTube channels, Openvibe isn’t focused on those formats yet, as they don’t offer an optimal experience within the app. RSS support is already available on both iOS and Android, and although the app is currently free, a subscription plan is expected in the future.
