Gemini Live adds real-time Calendar, Keep, Tasks, and Maps integration
Gemini Live is rolling out integration with Google Calendar, Google Tasks, Google Keep, and Google Maps on mobile devices, enabling real-time interaction during conversations. It uses app-specific extensions previously limited to standard Gemini, allows mid-task interruptions, and supports both direct app mentions and natural queries, with on-screen indicators and “Undo” options for certain actions.
Users can create Calendar events, set Tasks reminders, add notes to Keep, and retrieve app data directly through the assistant with voice. Integration with Google Maps adds location-based capabilities, such as providing place details, and works alongside video and screen sharing so users can trigger contextual actions like creating events from dates detected on screen.
Announced at Google I/O 2025 and tested over recent weeks, the update is now reaching devices on Android 15 and 16 in both stable and beta Google app versions, as well as iOS.
