Lawnchair 15 Beta 1 adds App Drawer Folders and Android 15 support
Lawnchair 15 Beta 1 is now available, bringing a major rebase to Android 15’s Launcher3. This update improves performance, stability, and adds early support for features like Private Space and App Archiving.
A key addition is App Drawer Folders, which let users group apps manually with custom folder names or use the experimental Caddy mode for automatic categorization. The dock also gets upgraded, now allowing background color adjustments, rounded corners, widgets next to app icons, and optional icon labels.
Search has been expanded with support for custom web engines and new built-in providers like Ecosia, Kagi Search, and Mozilla Firefox. While generally stable, the beta still has known issues—like broken icon badges. A Triage Team will now help prioritize features and fixes, and users are encouraged to report bugs on GitHub.
