Cash App launches group pools with non-user payments & Apple Pay/Google Pay integration

Cash App is now rolling out a pooling feature that simplifies group payments and includes non-users via Apple Pay and Google Pay. This allows users to collect money from friends who don’t have Cash App accounts, expanding its utility for group transactions.

Pools can be created from the payments tab, with invitations shared through $Cashtag, text, or link. Organizers can set a funding goal, track contributions, and close the pool at any time to transfer the collected money to their Cash App balance.

Designed for situations like splitting meals, vacations, or event tickets, the feature is currently available to a limited group and will roll out more widely in the coming months. Cash App notes the addition builds on common user behavior and mirrors Venmo’s existing Groups feature.
