Wine 10.10 released with updated Mono engine and bug fixes for several games

Wine 10.10 is now available, providing a new set of improvements for users running Windows programs on macOS, Linux, and BSD. This release integrates Mono version 10.1.0, which plays a key role in supporting .NET-based applications within Wine. While previous installations required the OSMesa library, this version removes that dependency, simplifying setup for new and existing users.

Following these core updates, Wine 10.10 adds expanded capabilities for generating Windows Runtime metadata in the Windows Interface Definition Language (WIDL) tool, supporting developers who need advanced API compatibility. Users working with internationalized content will notice that locale data is now in line with Unicode Common Locale Data Repository version 47.

Additionally, Media Foundation now supports the P010 video format, addressing compatibility for certain high-efficiency video playback and editing tasks. Besides these feature additions, the release also includes multiple bug fixes regarding various games, such as F.E.A.R., S.T.A.L.K.E.R., StarCraft, Horizon Chase, Rise of Nations, Unreal II, and others.
