Wine 11.13 boosts input pointer support, X11 keyboard scancode mapping & FFmpeg on ARM64EC

Wine 11.13 is now available, offering an updated compatibility layer for running Windows applications and games on Linux, macOS, and BSD systems. This release delivers expanded support for input pointers, improving interaction with applications that rely heavily on mouse and pointer events.

Following these user interface enhancements, Linux users on X11 benefit from improved keyboard scancode mapping, which allows for more accurate and reliable keyboard input in Windows programs. At the same time, Wine 11.13 introduces FFmpeg performance optimizations on systems using ARM64EC. This boosts multimedia performance for users running Wine on ARM-based platforms.

In addition to these technical improvements, the release addresses 22 bugs affecting a diverse set of popular applications and games. Notable fixes target software such as Adobe Acrobat Pro 7, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Microsoft Office 2000, Age of Mythology, Adobe Reader 7, Nelogica Profitchart, Sim Racing Studio, Sony Acid Pro 7.0, and others. These bug fixes contribute to better stability and compatibility across a wide range of Windows titles.
