Raycast now lets users connect their own AI provider accounts: Anthropic, Google & OpenAI
Raycast version 1.100 introduces Bring Your Own Key (BYOK), enabling users to connect their own AI provider accounts directly to Raycast. This update permits unlimited AI messaging through Anthropic, Google, or OpenAI by using user-supplied API keys, meaning a Pro subscription is not required for expanded AI access.
Users gain a new command to view and manage all connected AI models. They can disable individual models or all models from a single provider as needed, giving greater control over which AI technologies are available in their workflow. Users interested in early access can now toggle experimental AI features. Current experiments include support for HTTP MCP servers and extensions for AI models compatible with Ollama, expanding the possibilities for custom AI workflows within Raycast.
Additionally, Raycast has also added a “Replace Spotlight with Raycast” command, helping users transition smoothly from Spotlight to Raycast as their primary launcher. New AI chat options further extend the flexibility of the application for those interacting with AI-powered tools.
