Proton Pass goes beyond passwords and credit cards with customizable item storage
Proton has rolled out a major update to its password manager — Proton Pass — allowing users to securely store any type of personal information. The password manager now includes new item templates and lets users fully customize their stored items, turning Proton Pass into a central hub for all sensitive data. Supported types now span 14 new categories, such as medical records, Wi-Fi settings, and driver's licenses. If these presets are insufficient, users can build entirely new custom items with their own fields and sections for maximum flexibility.
This update introduces advanced features for custom items: users can name fields and sections, pin or share items, and access version history, giving personalized entries the same utility as standard ones. If stored details exceed template constraints, attachments of any file type up to 10 GB are also accepted. This expands use cases significantly beyond simple passwords and credit cards.
The update ensures end-to-end encryption covers all new data formats and attachments. Proton’s secure sharing technology enables sharing any item with both Proton Pass and non-Proton Pass users. These capabilities are being made available across all paid Proton Pass plans on every device, with browser extension support rolling out gradually.

This is available now when you create a new record and select a type of "Other." This will definitely help keep things organized!
