Airtable relaunch as AI-native platform with Omni, its natural language app-building agent

Airtable has relaunched as an AI-native platform, integrating artificial intelligence across its service and introducing Omni, an AI agent that enables users to build, edit, and automate apps through natural language. Unlike other tools that generate unverified code, Omni uses Airtable’s production-ready components to ensure enterprise-level reliability and data security.

Omni can automate large-scale workflows by deploying thousands of AI agents across datasets. It also supports data editing, task execution, and advanced analysis, all through a conversational interface that respects user roles and permissions. These AI capabilities are now included in all Airtable plans, including the free tier, with bundled usage credits.

Users can create full applications that combine automated and manual steps, triggered by real-time events. Airtable ensures transparency in the generated logic and data layers, with example use cases ranging from campaign content generation to sales call insights and workflow automation. The new experience is live for new users and rolling out to existing ones.

Tell a coworker who is using Excel or Sheets as a database that you want to migrate everyone to Airtable because it will be easier and better. They go to the airtable website, and have NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THAT STUFF IS. Nope out, back to Excel.
