Adobe debuts Firefly mobile app with generative AI tools and expanded model support

Adobe has released its Adobe Firefly app for iOS and Android, bringing its generative image and video tools to mobile. Users can create visuals using text prompts and access features like generative fill and expand, replicating the desktop and web experience.

The app supports multiple AI models, including Adobe’s own and those from OpenAI (GPT image), Google (Imagen 3 and Veo 2), Flux (Flux 1.1 Pro), as well as third-party models like Kontext by Black Forest Labs, Ideogram 3.0, and Gen-4 Image by Runway. Adobe Creative Cloud users can sync projects across devices via the cloud.

Firefly Boards, Adobe’s collaborative whiteboarding tool, now includes video generation with both Adobe and partner models. Adobe reports over 24 billion assets created with Firefly tools and a 30% quarter-over-quarter growth in new Creative Cloud subscriptions, partly driven by its AI features.
