Windsurf Wave 8 adds GitHub PR reviews, Google Docs context, and conversation sharing

Windsurf’s Wave 8 update introduces new enterprise-focused tools, headlined by Windsurf Reviews, a GitHub-integrated bot that automates pull request reviews with AI-generated titles, descriptions, and code suggestions. This beta feature centralizes review standards and style guides, supporting up to 500 reviews per month for GitHub Cloud users.

Another key addition is the Knowledge Base in beta, enabling Windsurf to ingest and reference Google Docs for improved context in code understanding. Admins can link Google Drive accounts, select relevant documents, and guide retrieval, with Cascade supporting direct doc referencing via @knowledge mentions. The new Conversation Sharing feature, also in beta, allows team-restricted sharing of Cascade conversations through secure web links. This option, when enabled by admins, stores data on Windsurf servers and enables sharing with the Windsurf team for debugging.

Teams can now deploy apps directly to org-level Netlify accounts via Teams Deploys. The Admin Analytics Portal adds improved dashboards, Cascade usage metrics, and ROI insights. Teams users also gain self-serve access to advanced controls like SSO and role-based permissions for an extra fee, while Enterprise customers can subscribe directly to the top tier without sales contact. Some features, including Reviews and Knowledge Base, are not yet available for Hybrid deployments.
