Secure email provider mailbox.org releases redesigned UI, refined dark mode, PWA, and more

mailbox.org, the German email provider with a focus on data protection, has released its updated productivity suite for beta testers. This new version covers not only secure email but also cloud storage, calendar, contact management, an integrated online office suite, and video conferencing, with enhancements across every service.

In the updated suite, users will find a redesigned interface that enables faster navigation, a more refined dark mode, revised settings, and upgraded keyboard shortcuts for improved efficiency. Following this redesign, the mobile experience has also been significantly improved. Beta users can now install mailbox.org as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and use a new notification center.

For email workloads, the beta introduces functions such as undo send, support for email categories, advanced reply options, and reusable attachments. Calendar upgrades include the ability to create video conferencing links for events, set countdown reminders before meetings, forward meeting invitations, and manage shared resources, among others.

Access to these new features is currently limited to participants in the mailbox.org beta testing program. More information in the official announcement.
