xAI launches Grok Studio, a new collaborative canvas tool for document, code & apps
xAI has unveiled "Grok Studio," a new tool for its AI Assistant Grok, tailored for creating and editing documents, code, and browser games/apps.
Available to both free and paid users via grok.com, Grok Studio opens projects in a separate window and enables real-time collaboration between users and the AI. It features a live "preview" tab that displays instant results for code in languages such as HTML, Python, C++, JavaScript, Typescript, and bash scripts. New projects appear on the right side of Grok's responses.
The company also announced a new integration with Google Drive, enabling users to attach files like reports and spreadsheets directly into Grok prompts for processing. This launch aligns with similar offerings from competitors, including OpenAI's "Canvas" and Anthropic's "Artifacts" for Claude, both of which also support collaborative editing in separate windows.

I like the Grok logo, you can even see it doing the "Roman" salute, greeting Elon Musk.
