The Manjaro team has announced the release of Manjaro 25.0 “Zetar” the latest version of this Arch-based Linux distribution. This release is powered by the Linux 6.12 LTS kernel and includes updated desktop environments such as GNOME 48, KDE Plasma 6.3, and Xfce 4.20. Manjaro 25.0 “Zetar” also features numerous package and software upgrades. For users with older hardware, the release offers additional support with the Linux 6.6 LTS and 6.1 LTS kernels.
Additionally, the Manjaro Summit initiative, focused on providing a semi-immutable distribution, has entered its alpha phase. This new approach includes atomic updates using pre-made disk images, a read-only root partition, rollback capabilities, and enhanced system consistency.
