Brave Wallet integrates shielded Zcash transactions for enhanced privacy

Brave has announced the integration of shielded Zcash transactions into its browser-native Brave Wallet with the latest desktop release (v1.77), part of its partnership with Zcash/ECC and Filecoin Foundation.

This allows users to buy, send, and receive the privacy-preserving Zcash native currency (ZEC) directly within the Brave Wallet. Shielded transactions, which utilize zero-knowledge proofs, conceal the sender, receiver, and transaction amount from the public blockchain.

The feature, which is already available on desktop, will be extended to Android and iOS in the coming months.
