Sparky releases first semi-rolling update for 2025

Sparky has released its first semi-rolling update for 2025, featuring significant upgrades and changes. The update includes package upgrades from Debian and Sparky testing repositories, and introduces Linux kernel 6.12.17-LTS along with various desktop environments like Xfce 4.20, LXQt 2.1.0, and MATE 1.26.0. However, users should note some issues, such as problems with full disk encryption during installation via Calamares and a temporary suspension of the UKUI desktop and KDE Plasma 6 iso image. For better performance, it is recommended to install Sparky on UEFI machines with an active internet connection to ensure proper installation of EFI-related packages. Existing Sparky rolling users should keep their system up to date without reinstalling the OS.
