Google NotebookLM adds new interactive mind map tool and multilingual support
Google NotebookLM now includes an interactive Mind Map feature that visually organizes information by topic, enabling quick navigation and discovery of connections. Designed for researchers and students, it helps summarize, search, and analyze document libraries using AI-powered natural language interaction.
The Mind Map also allows users to identify agreements and disagreements among different sources, highlighting key topics and arguments, and can be downloaded as images for sharing and future reference. Additionally, NotebookLM now supports multilingual document uploads and content generation, expanding accessibility for users worldwide.
This update comes after the recent news that Audio Overviews, once exclusive to NotebookLM, is now part of Google Gemini, enabling podcast-style AI-generated summaries. Currently available for text-based outputs, there are plans for future expansions of this feature. These updates, set to roll out in the next week, will be accessible to both free and paid users.
