Raycast 1.91.0 update introduces the new Hyper Key tool, enhanced Focus & AI Model updates
Raycast latest update, version 1.91.0, introduces the new Hyper Key feature, which allows users to remap a single key, like the Caps Lock, to act as a combination of all four modifier keys (⌃⌥⌘⇧), enhancing keyboard shortcuts across applications, pretty similar to what can be done using Karabiner Elements. This can be customized in the settings, making it easy to create a completely new set of hotkeys like ✦M for Search Menu Items, ✦G for GIF Search, or ✦S for Search Snippets.
The update also enhances Raycast Focus by allowing apps closed at the start of a focus session to reopen once it ends and adds compatibility with more browsers, including Mozilla Firefox and Vivaldi. Focus sessions now pause automatically when the system enters sleep mode.
Additionally, the update addresses a bug in AI Chat where preset names were not displayed correctly. The Raycast API update integrates multiple AI models from version 1.90.0, introducing new reasoning models like DeepSeek R1 and R1 Distilled, powered by Together AI and Groq. It also includes new OpenAI models and supports Google Gemini models. The update further incorporates xAI's Grok-2 and Perplexity models, some of which require a subscription to Raycast Pro or Raycast Pro + Advanced AI.
