Adobe officially launches Photoshop for iPhone with advanced editing & AI-powered features
Adobe has launched a new Adobe Photoshop app for iPhone, offering advanced editing tools on the go. This app goes beyond Adobe Photoshop Express by including core Photoshop features like layering, masking, and blending. It also integrates AI-powered tools such as the Tap Select tool for quick object adjustments and the Spot Healing Brush to remove image distractions. Additionally, Adobe Firefly-powered Generative Fill and Generative Expand features enable users to add new elements to images.
The app integrates with Adobe Stock assets, Adobe Lightroom, and other Adobe services. This new iOS app allows the company to compete with other popular editing apps, such as Snapseed, Canva or even Adobe Express.
The company is also improving its web-based Photoshop experience and introducing a Photoshop Mobile and Web plan. This web version now includes tools like Generate Similar and Reference Images, along with selection tools such as Magic Wand and a Remove Tool. The Photoshop Mobile and Web plan costs $7.99/month or $69.99/year, with a free version available. Paid subscribers get mobile access, and an Android release is confirmed coming later this year.
