Meta launches its AI-generated short video feed 'Vibes' to users across Europe
Meta has expanded its "Vibes" video feed to users in Europe through the Meta AI app, extending access beyond the US. Vibes is sort of as a social space within Meta AI in a short-form video format similar to TikTok or Instagram Reels, but all content is fully AI-generated, created from text prompts or by remixing videos shared by others.
First introduced in the US in late September, Vibes lets users do everything from creating and editing short AI videos to sharing them within the dedicated feed inside the Meta AI app, or posting them directly to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels. Since its debut, Meta reports that media generation in the app has increased more than tenfold, reflecting growing engagement with AI-based creation tools. It’s also worth noting that the same Meta AI platform faced controversy some time ago when many users unknowingly shared their private conversations with the AI chatbot publicly.
With the European rollout, Meta AI also gains a refreshed interface for easier access to creative and conversational tools. Users can co-create videos by layering visuals, music, and styles, while the app also supports image generation, animation, editing, and AI chat features. It additionally integrates tools for managing Meta’s AI glasses, letting users import, enhance, and share photos or videos captured through them.

"The Meta AI app is still your hub for managing your AI glasses, capturing moments, and exploring creative possibilities with your photos and videos."
Capturing moments? Exploring creative possibilities? No wonder I still don't understand in what theses glasses are supposed to be useful.
But maybe it's because Facebook has only invested $3.5B into it this year. You must throw at least $70B a year, like it does with AI, to know how much it's useless.
