Canva launches new "Creative Operating System" with a new Email Builder and Business plan

Alongside the launch of its new "free for ever" all-in-one Affinity app, Canva has introduced a “Creative Operating System,” an integrated marketing workspace within its main platform powered by a design-focused in-house AI model. The platform unifies creative tools, AI-driven features, and workflow management, marking Canva’s evolution from a design app to a complete creative management system.

The update includes a redesigned video editor with a simplified timeline for trimming, syncing, and layering footage, plus an expanded template library for non-expert users. Canva also added Forms for feedback collection, automatically syncing responses to Canva Sheets for quick analysis. This update also connects Sheets with Canva Code, allowing users to turn collected data into interactive, customizable projects that can be edited in Canva and published instantly as standalone web pages. There's a new Canva Grow platform that enables marketing teams to design, launch, and track ad campaigns, using AI to improve performance over time, kinda similar to Figma Buzz.

There's also a new Email Design tool now that lets users create branded email campaigns without coding or third-party tools, similar to other E-mail builders like Mailchimp or BeeFree.io. Most advanced AI features remain part of Canva’s paid tiers, including a new Canva Business plan. This plan combines all Pro features with team collaboration tools, enhanced AI usage, marketing insights, and print discounts, while existing Teams subscribers keep their current plans and pricing.
