Organic Maps adds EU iOS default app option, updated OSM data, new POIs
Organic Maps now allows EU users on iOS to set it as the default navigation app through system settings. The release also updates OpenStreetMap data to October 21, 2025, providing the latest geographic and routing details.
On Android, road shields appear in navigation directions, voice guidance and the splash screen have been improved, and compatibility has been expanded to some older Intel x86 devices. Android Auto now restores cancelled routes and resolves several crash issues.
Across platforms, the map shows subway entrance names, offers a less cluttered city view, and adds new point-of-interest icons such as traffic islands, camp pitches, and airport terminals. Searches for addresses and EV charging stations are more accurate, emoji search is fixed, and GeoJSON imports now preserve metadata. On Linux and macOS, dark mode syncs with system settings and POI details follow a “name | ref” format.
