Pomodoro timer Flowkeeper v0.9 brings new features, integrations and customization options

Flowkeeper, a free and open-source pomodoro timer for macOS, Windows, and Linux users, has released version 0.9, introducing several enhancements and bug fixes. In this update, users can now manually reorder backlogs and work items, as automatic ordering has been removed. Unplanned work items are identified with an asterisk, highlighting items created after the start of any other work in the backlog.

The update offers a choice between two timer widgets: classic and minimalistic. A configuration wizard guides users through the initial setup, allowing further customization in the settings. The tray icon is also configurable for light and dark mode. In minimalistic mode, pomodoro actions can be accessed via a context menu, while the classic mode remains unchanged.

Additionally, the button to hide completed items has been relocated to the toolbar, and all toolbar buttons and icons now include tooltips with shortcuts. A new configurable integration feature allows Flowkeeper to run external programs, such as diary or note-taking apps, triggered by specific events.

Significant improvements have been made to the Work Summary feature, accessible via F3. New output formats include Markdown table, Emacs Org mode, JSON, and XML, with filtering options by reporting period. Lastly, a new setting to prevent multiple instances of Flowkeeper from running simultaneously has been added.
