Meta introduces cross-posting for WhatsApp status to Instagram and Facebook stories

Meta has introduced a new cross-posting feature for WhatsApp, accessible through the Account Center, which allows users to directly share their WhatsApp Status updates to Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, or both.

To use this feature, users must link their WhatsApp account to the Account Center and manually select their preferred platforms for each Status update, ensuring that WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption remains intact. The cross-posting feature is initially set to "off by default," requiring users to opt in to activate it in the WhatsApp settings.

This update aligns with WhatsApp's recent improvements, such as enhanced cross-platform support and the introduction of usernames for new contacts.
