Microsoft launches Copilot Pages: AI-enhanced collaborative canvas for Microsoft 365 users
Microsoft has introduced Copilot Pages, an AI-powered collaborative canvas workspace that integrates real-time team collaboration with AI insights from Microsoft Copilot. This new feature allows users to pull responses from Copilot and collaboratively edit content on a shared page. Building on the existing Microsoft Loop tool, which includes modular Office document components, Copilot Pages enables seamless collaboration by allowing users to share pages via links, making them instantly editable like shared Microsoft Word documents.
Users can type a query into Copilot, receive an answer, and use the “Edit in Pages” feature to bring the response into a persistent digital canvas for further editing. Copilot Pages can be embedded into other pages as components, offering integration and flexibility within projects. It also integrates with Microsoft’s new BizChat, allowing data from work files and the web to be incorporated into projects. This facilitates tasks such as project planning, meeting notes, and business pitches, introducing a "multiplayer" collaboration style that combines human and AI inputs on a single canvas.
Available today for Microsoft 365 Copilot customers at https://copilot.cloud.microsoft/, the feature will be accessible to all subscribers by the end of the month. Additionally, Microsoft has launched Copilot agents for businesses, designed to meet enterprise needs by automating tasks such as monitoring email inboxes and handling data entry without user intervention.
