DaVinci Resolve 19 launches with AI tools, enhanced color grading, and cloud collaboration
DaVinci Resolve has unveiled its 19th version, packed with significant new features and enhancements. DaVinci Resolve 19 introduces the DaVinci Neural Engine AI tools and over 100 feature upgrades, enhancing the software’s already robust capabilities in editing, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics, and audio post-production.
Editors can now work directly with transcribed audio, making it easier to locate speakers and edit timeline clips. Colorists benefit from the new ColorSlice six vector palette for producing rich film-like tones and a film look creator effect that emulates photometric film processes for cinematic images.
In Fairlight, the IntelliTrack AI can track motion and automatically pan audio, while VFX artists in Fusion gain access to an expanded set of USD tools and a new multipoly rotoscoping tool. The cut page now includes broadcast replay tools for live multi-camera broadcast editing, playout, and replay with speed control.
Additionally, DaVinci Resolve 19 supports Blackmagic Cloud, allowing users to host project libraries on the DaVinci Resolve Project Server in the cloud. This enables collaborative work on the same project by editors, colorists, VFX artists, and audio engineers from anywhere in the world.
