1Password Business customers can now use Google as their identity provider

1Password Business customers can now integrate with Google Identity Platform using OpenID Connect (OIDC). This integration offers streamlined access, unified security policies, and enhanced auditing, compliance, and reporting workflows. Single sign-on (SSO) has become essential for businesses to simplify access management for both admins and employees. By integrating 1Password with Google Identity Platform, teams can securely access their passwords, payment information, and other business secrets stored in 1Password.

The integration maintains zero-knowledge architecture and end-to-end encryption, with decryption occurring on-device. The trusted device model ensures that even if identity provider credentials are compromised, attackers cannot access 1Password data. Setting up Google SSO with 1Password is similar to the process for Okta or Entra ID.
