Meta AI expands to more countries and unveils the new "Imagine Me" image generation tool
Meta AI has introduced advanced image generation and editing capabilities across its platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. One of the key features is the "Imagine Me" tool, currently in beta in the U.S., which allows users to create AI-generated images based on user prompts and uploaded photos. For instance, users can input prompts like "Imagine me with blue hair" or "Imagine me as a Cyberpunk character" to see creative transformations of their images.
The new editing features also enable users to add or remove objects from their images. An upcoming "Edit With AI" button is expected to further enhance these capabilities. Initially, these AI-generated images and editing features are being rolled out in English, with plans to expand to other languages soon.
Meta AI has expanded its availability to Argentina, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru, bringing its presence to a total of 22 countries. Language support now includes French, German, Hindi, Hindi-Romanized Script, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Additionally, Meta AI integrates the newly launched Llama 3.1 model, which offers advanced reasoning, math problem-solving, and coding support, providing step-by-step math homework assistance, code writing support, and expert instruction on technical and scientific concepts.
