RedFox's sudden disappearance sparks fears of AnyStream and AnyDVD shutdown
RedFox, the developer behind popular ripping software AnyStream and AnyDVD has has been offline since early June, sparking concerns about a potential shutdown. The company's official website, redfox.bz, is currently inaccessible, leading to widespread rumors of a possible takeover or permanent closure. This situation is reminiscent of the 2016 shutdown of SlySoft, RedFox's predecessor, due to legal pressures from the Advanced Access Content System (AACS).
RedFox's AnyDVD software is widely known for its ability to copy and rip DVDs, HD DVDs, and Blu-ray Discs on Windows systems, making its sudden absence a significant concern for its user base. The sudden disappearance of RedFox has led to rampant speculation within the AnyStream Reddit community. Users are theorizing about various causes, ranging from legal troubles and server issues to the possibility of the company's technology being sold or running out of money.
With no official statements from RedFox, users are left in the dark, but fortunately there are alternatives that offer similar functionalities to AnyStream and AnyDVD, like StreamFab and DVDFab, which have recently released a new version to attract RedFox's user base, positioning themselves as some of the most popular alternatives at the moment. Other options includes Keepstream or Tunepat.

They probably got shut down for the AnyStream efforts. They might have ran out of money, but doubtful. Curious who would be paying for AnyDVD these days. With the industry move to streaming services, most torrents or file-sharing comes from web-rips now. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure plenty of folks still love and admire their physical media, which I respect... but it isn't for me. AnySteam probably pissed off the big boys.
If they are gone, it is the end of an era. AnyDVD was a "must-have" software when DVDs were at the height of their popularity.
