Proton has upgraded Proton Drive file sharing functionalities. Users now have the ability to share files and folders publicly through shared links or directly with others via email addresses. They can assign Viewer or Editor permissions to shared files, providing control over how recipients can interact with the content. Access can be revoked at any time to ensure data remains secure.

Proton Drive employs robust end-to-end encryption (E2EE) using modern elliptic curve and OpenPGP standards, guaranteeing data privacy.
