Privacy Ecosystems
While I definitely don't recommend keeping all your eggs (private data) in one basket (apps and/or services from the same groups) some people find it easier switching to private alternatives when they come from the same entity as it's like a change from an ecosystem to another. This list just give you some options that share the same teams behind them.
If you know other apps, please let me know down in the comments.
Privacy-friendly apps I've used and liked
This list covers many privacy-friendly apps I really enjoy. My setup is primarily Apple-based, but I've used Linux and Android in the past and tried to add things that work with them as well. For every Apple app listed here, I've also listed alternatives where possible and I expect you to have activated full E2EE on your Apple ID. Apps are listed in a somewhat organized way, usually from most simple/feature rich to most private.
SAY GOODBYE TO BIG COMPANIES WITH THESE ALTERNATIVES
Throughout the years, we have been relying on big companies like Google, Microsoft, Meta and others to give us access to their products to use our computers and phones, communicate on the online web, and store our files. However, as things have gotten worse with the years and the rise of gen-AI only making things worse, people are starting to question if they can even move to new services. However, the journey can be hard and there are so many options that non-tech savvy people are going lose patience and give up.
That is why I made this long and comprehensive list of mostly open-source alternatives to different things from computer OS, social media, to even TV. Many things are easy to move to, others are for more tech-savvy people, and this list doesn't even have all of the available options in any category! However, this is a great first step into trying new things and to slowly move away from big tech. You don't need to do it all at once, go step by step, decide if there are some services you can't stop using and which ones could use a switch and have fun!

As always the case with Proton products, it only pretends to be open source, providing source code only for CLIENT applications, NOT for the server applications. Also, \[at least\] one of the people on their board of directors is/was a close associate of the infamous Claus Schwab of the World Economic Forum, so if you believe that Proton ensures your privacy, please contact me because I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I can sell to you. /sarc
It's a fine alternative for small projects. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the options I constantly use on Google Sheets and thus need, but to top it all, it gets slower as more information is added to the spreadsheet, which leads it to be unusable at time.
I do believe they can do better with time, but for now this is not a viable alternative to Google Sheets.
