Notion launches AI connectors for enhanced workflow with Slack & Google Drive integration
Notion has launched AI Connectors, a new feature aimed at improving workflow efficiency by integrating with third-party applications like Slack and Google Drive. This feature allows users to query Notion and receive responses from the connected apps. Currently in beta, AI Connectors are available at no extra cost for paid Q&A users, although future pricing may change.
To integrate Slack with Notion AI, users need admin permissions for both platforms. The integration allows for the selection of specific public channels or all public channels for information retrieval, while excluding private channels and direct messages. Once connected, Notion AI can access up to a year of historical Slack content, a process that may take up to 36 hours. The integration respects existing permissions, ensuring users can only access content they are authorized to view in Slack.
Notion has emphasized that user data privacy is maintained, stating that customer data is not used to train its models nor is it accessible to subprocessors. Future updates will expand AI Connectors to include more apps beyond Slack and Google Drive. Users interested in beta testing AI Connectors should review the beta provisions in their agreements for specific terms and privacy practices.
