Threema iOS update brings new voice messages interface and improved search

Threema has released a new update for its iOS app, featuring a redesigned user interface for voice messages. The update appeals to both regular and occasional users of voice messages, offering the ability to pause and save voice message recordings as drafts.

The updated UI now shows ongoing voice recordings in the text-input field, and incoming voice messages are also labeled as new until they are played, simplifying the management of unread messages. Additionally, a new starred messages feature has been added, enabling users to highlight important messages for easy future access. These messages can be starred by long-pressing the message and selecting the star icon, and can be accessed in the "Starred Messages" section in chat details.

The update also improves the global search functionality by supporting message filtering by type, including the option to search for starred messages. Threema 6.0 for iOS includes other improvements outlined in the accompanying update changelog.
