TikTok launches new photo-sharing app 'TikTok Notes', set to compete with Instagram

TikTok has introduced TikTok Notes, a new photo-sharing app set to rival Instagram. Previously known as TikTok Photos, the official name has been unveiled. Current TikTok users can use TikTok Notes without creating a new account. The app is currently accessible on the Canadian Google Play Store and Apple App Store, indicating a potential global launch soon.

TikTok Notes distinguishes itself from Instagram through its grid layout, which enables users to see multiple posts simultaneously. Users can interact with posts by viewing them in full-screen and leaving comments. The app's features include photo carousels, chronological and algorithmic feeds, and comment controls, similar to Instagram's functionality.

Those interested in TikTok Notes can download it from the official website or their device's app marketplace. Although the app is not yet available in the US, its release is most likely on the horizon as part of TikTok's global expansion strategy, expected soon.
