Dropbox launches official app on the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 & 11

Dropbox has finally launched an official version on the Microsoft Store, offering Windows users direct access to the service from the Store interface and easy automatic updates, and reducing the risk of security breaches.

However, for existing Dropbox users, the benefits of the Microsoft Store version may not be substantial. Users with Dropbox already installed on their Windows 10 devices will need to uninstall the current version before downloading the new version from the Microsoft Store.

The feature set of the Microsoft Store version is expected to be largely similar to the standalone app available on the Dropbox website. The availability of Dropbox on the Microsoft Store suggests a partnership between Dropbox and Microsoft, with this move potentially leading to future integration and collaboration between both companies.
