Brave integrates its AI assistant Leo into Brave Talk for enhanced video conferencing
Brave has integrated its AI assistant, Brave Leo, with Brave Talk, its video conferencing tool. This allows Brave Talk Premium users on desktop and Android to access AI-supported meeting summaries and task lists in the Brave browser. Leo's features include conversation transcription, meeting notes creation, task list generation, and answering follow-up questions, all designed to boost meeting efficiency.
Brave Talk, launched in May 2020, is a video/audio conferencing feature in the Brave browser. Its key selling point is its privacy-focused approach, with user conversations not stored unless call recordings and transcriptions are enabled. Leo operates within the browser, offering real-time summaries, content analysis, translation, and more. With this new integration, Leo can now summarize call transcripts, highlight important topics and decisions, find quotes, and suggest follow-up questions.
Users can start a Brave Talk call by opening a new tab and clicking the icon or visiting talk.brave.com. Premium call initiators can activate record transcription in Settings, accessing the recording or transcription for 24 hours post-call. Attendees can then request Leo to summarize key points during and after the meeting, within Leo's standard rate limits.
