GOG partners with Amazon Luna to offer Cloud Gaming support across multiple devices
Digital distributor GOG.com has partnered with Amazon Luna to offer cloud gaming support. This will enable gamers to play their purchased games on a range of devices, including iOS, Android, PC, Mac, and Fire tablets, without having to download them.
The cloud streaming feature via Luna will be compatible with various peripherals, such as keyboard and mouse, Xbox One, and PS4 controllers. GOG GALAXY features like cloud saves and achievements will also be available to Luna users.
The partnership will not change GOG's existing benefits like DRM-free downloads. Users can buy games directly from the Luna client, with these purchases appearing in their GOG libraries for download. While the full scope of GOG's game catalogue for streaming is not yet clear, users are assured they can stream any game they own on GOG that is also available on Luna. The launch date for this service is yet to be announced.
