Figma introduces Split Tabs feature for Side-by-Side viewing in desktop beta app

Figma has recently launched a new feature called Split Tabs in its Desktop Beta app. This feature, similar to Microsoft Edge's Split Screen Browsing, lets users view two different Figma files side by side within the platform's main interface.

To use Split Tabs, users can drag a tab into the document and decide whether to open it on the right or left side of the screen. The size of each tab can be adjusted based on user preference, allowing one tab to be larger than the other.

The Split Tabs feature can be useful for several tasks. For example, you can monitor changes in real-time by having a design file in one corner and a prototype file in another, or you update local components for real-time testing. Users can also view a FigJam file and a Figma file simultaneously. Just keep in mind that you need to download the Beta version in order to test out this new feature.
