Visual Studio Code 1.87 adds Voice Dictation, Multi-Cursor and Copilot rename suggestions

The latest update, Version 1.87, for Visual Studio Code has been released, unveiling an array of new features including voice dictation in the editor via the VS Code Speech extension, multi-cursor inline suggestions with 26 language options, and GitHub Copilot powered rename suggestions.

The update also introduces a side-by-side preview refactoring feature, facilitating a comprehensive view of changes to be applied by a code refactoring across multiple files.

Furthermore, the 1.87 update improves the Python developer experience by streamlining the addition of missing Python imports and enabling sticky scroll by default. It also supports multi-language speech recognition and provides Copilot suggestions for dev container configurations. Detailed release notes can be found on here, and those interested in testing the new features can download the nightly Insiders build.
