Photomator 3.3 unveils enhanced file browser for streamlined photo editing across devices
Photomator, the powerful photo editor for Apple devices by the creators of Pixelmator, has unveiled its version 3.3, featuring an enhanced file browser built with native macOS technologies. This upgrade streamlines and accelerates the process of browsing and editing photos, applicable not only to your Mac but also to external drives and cloud services.
The freshly introduced file browser provides drag and drop functionality for swift importing of folders and photos, even in large quantities. It also features a native share menu for easy photo sharing, among other capabilities. Built upon the Apple File System, Photomator's file browser conserves storage space by avoiding cataloging photos or storing duplicates, and it automatically synchronizes edits with the original file.
This system enables seamless editing of photos stored across various cloud services like Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive, as well as SSDs, NAS devices, or SD cards, equating the convenience of editing photos stored on your Mac.
Version 3.3 also presents a new edit-saving feature, which permits saving edits alongside the original file without altering the original. This function ensures all your edits are preserved when reconnecting to external storage or cloud services and also conserves storage space. The edits can be easily viewed on all devices, such as iPhones and iPads, by simply syncing them through iCloud Drive.
This update is freely available to all existing users.
