Firefox Nightly pilots the Hovering Tab Previews feature to enhance navigation
Mozilla Firefox is piloting a new hovering tab previews feature in its Firefox Nightly version, allowing users to view tab content by hovering over it without needing to click. This feature was already present in other Chromium-based browsers like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Brave for a while now.
Unlike Firefox's previous tab preview feature, which only worked when users hovered over the Firefox icon in the Windows taskbar, the new implementation aims to provide a consistent and intuitive experience across platforms. To activate it, users must navigate to about:config and set browser.tabs.cardPreview.enabled to true.
Furthermore, Firefox 122, launched in late January, introduced several improvements including detailed search suggestions, improved local translation features, and compatibility with iCloud Keychain passkeys on macOS.

Finally, modern-day Mozilla is releasing useful functionality update to Firefox. Tab Scope anyone?
Not that Firefox is a bad browser. It's the best for privacy & open web, obviously. It just feels like they focus on needless features (like updating the already perfect Photon UI), and privacy features (which are great, keep it coming), while forgetting to add useful functionality like this.
