Spotify launches new marketing & analytics tools for audiobooks creators

Spotify has introduced a new suite of marketing tools and insights called Spotify for Authors, aimed at supporting audiobook authors and publishers, helping them to manage and promote their audiobook content by offering analytics and promotional tools similar to those available for music artists and other creators.

Available globally, the platform provides authors and publishers with demographic data, such as listener age and gender, to better understand and reach their audience. Key features of Spotify for Authors include the ability for authors to distribute royalty-free copies to superfans and reviewers using redemption codes, and the creation of promotional cards for social media. Authors can also access early author profiles to build their presence on the platform.

For publishers, the platform offers enhanced royalty reporting and catalog management tools, along with deeper insights into audience interests, particularly in podcast genres, to aid strategic marketing. Just recently, the company announced several other new features focused on audiobooks, such as Author pages, Follow-Along and video clips.
