Mistral unveils major Le Chat updates & new AI models for content & workflow automation
French AI startup Mistral Le Chat has launched major updates including web search with citations and a new canvas tool for creating and editing content directly on its Le Chat platform. The platform can now process large PDFs and images, including complex graphs, and uses Flux Pro for advanced image generation. It also supports automated workflows through AI “agents” for tasks like expense report scanning, all available for free in beta.
Mistral also launched two new models: Pixtral Large, a multimodal model with 124 billion parameters for text and image processing, and Mistral Large 24.11, which improves long-context understanding for document analysis. Both models are available under restrictive research and enterprise licenses, with Mistral Large 24.11 accessible through Mistral’s API and platforms like Hugging Face, and soon on cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.
These updates and models are currently in a free beta phase, with dual licensing options for research and enterprise use, targeting applications in content creation, workflow automation, and advanced document and image analysis.
