Clonezilla Live 3.2 released, based on Linux kernel 6.11 and Debian Sid repository

Clonezilla has launched version 3.2 of its partition and disk imaging and cloning program. This update features an upgrade to the Linux kernel 6.11.2, and is based on the Debian Sid repository. The new release has removed the wireless-tools package from the live system due to its absence in the Debian package repositories, with the iw package now serving its function. Additionally, the reiser4progs package has also been eliminated, as it was found unnecessary for the live system setup.

Enhancements in Clonezilla Live 3.2 include improvements to the ocs-scan-disk program. By integrating lsblk, the code is now more streamlined and accurately displays block devices with file systems. The release also merges zstd and zstdmt compression utilities, defaulting to zstd -T0, simplifying customization via boot parameters. The update also includes minor enhancements and various bug fixes.
