OpenProject 13.2 has been released with OneDrive/SharePoint integration and more
OpenProject, the open source project management software, has recently launched its version 13.2, introducing a significant update with OneDrive and SharePoint integration. This feature, first made available to OpenProject Enterprise customers in December 2023, enhances the software's functionality by facilitating easier access to necessary files.
Building on the manual project folders introduced for Nextcloud storage in OpenProject 13.0, version 13.2 extends this feature to OneDrive and SharePoint storage. Users of an instance that has enabled OneDrive/SharePoint storage can now benefit from configured project folders, where all files of a project are uploaded and stored by default.
OpenProject 13.2 also refines user permissions within the software. The ability to alter the status of a work package is now separate from the broader “Edit work package” permission. This change allows users to update status without the authority to edit a work package.
The new version provides project administrators with enhanced filtering capabilities. Admins can now filter the project member list by roles, groups, and shares, enabling them to quickly identify other admins or non-members with access through the new Sharing feature.
Additional updates in OpenProject 13.2 include the ability to assign and account for shared work packages, display file links of cloud storage files inaccessible to the user, and an added “Show relations” quick action. The software also introduces new field names and a revised calculation of work and remaining work.
