ForkLift 4.0.6 brings new features, improvements, and an upgrade bonus for license holders
BinaryNights has rolled out ForkLift 4.0.6, a recent update to their ForkLift 4 software, launched over four months ago. This update brings several enhancements and bug fixes to the table.
One notable feature in this update is the ability to add custom icons to favorites. Currently, these custom icons will only be visible in the sidebar. However, future versions are expected to allow modifications in the tabs as well.
ForkLift 4.0.6 also introduces new Amazon S3 regions, namely Israel (Tel Aviv) and Canada West (Calgary). Other additions include tooltips for icons at the bottom of the Favorite Manager and an 'All Folder Sizes' calculation option within the File menu, which can be utilized when no item is selected.
In terms of interface changes, the tab close buttons are now positioned on the left side of the tabs. Hovering over a tab will display an 'X' button, replacing the icon inside the tab, to close the tab.
The ForkLift 4.0.6 update has also addressed several issues and made improvements in certain areas. The display of additional information of PDF files in the Info Window has been enhanced, and the interpreter in the Tools section has been improved. Furthermore, a bug that prevented the transfer of specific folder types to or from external drives due to an invisible file has been fixed.
Lastly, ForkLift 4.0.6 offers ForkLift 3 license holders the chance to upgrade their license and receive an upgrade bonus of an additional 100 days of free updates.
