LibreOffice 7.6 has been released with enhanced font handling, new features, and more
LibreOffice 7.6 Community, the latest major release of the volunteer-supported free office suite, has been launched. The new version introduces support for zoom gestures on touchpads in the main view, document themes, and significant enhancements to font handling. The latter is particularly beneficial for right-to-left scripts, CJK, and other Asian alphabets.
Several improvements have been made to LibreOffice Writer, including a new page number wizard, improved Paragraph Style dropdown, and enhanced Tables of Figures. LibreOffice Calc now supports drawing styles for shapes and comments, and the number format has been improved. LibreOffice Impress & Draw features a new navigation panel and support for free text annotations to PDFium import, with further enhancements to font management for CJK and Arabic languages.
For those users who prioritize a more tested and bug-fixed version over the latest features, The Document Foundation continues to maintain the LibreOffice 7.5 family. This version includes several months of back-ported fixes.
