YouTube Music launches Podcasts for US listeners

YouTube Music has announced the addition of podcasts to their platform for US-based listeners. The feature is being gradually rolled out, so not all users will have access to it immediately. However, once available, listeners can enjoy podcasts on-demand, offline, and in the background, as well as switch between audio and video versions seamlessly.

It's important to note that the podcast listening experience on YouTube Music is different from the music listening experience. While certain features require a Premium or Music Premium subscription, all users will be able to access podcasts on the platform. Premium and Music Premium members may experience host-read endorsements or sponsorship messages while listening to podcasts.

The addition of podcasts on YouTube Music complements the podcast video experience on YouTube, allowing listeners to browse and discover a variety of shows within the app. YouTube Music plans to bring podcasts to other regions in the future, so users outside of the United States will eventually have access to this feature. For now, users can visit the Help Center to learn more about browsing and discovering podcasts on the YouTube Music app.
