Twitter partners with eToro to allow users to Buy and Sell Stocks and Crypto directly on the platform

Twitter has announced a new partnership with eToro, the online trading platform, in a move designed to expand the functionality of its cashtags. Cashtags are essentially hashtags used on Twitter to talk about a particular stock, crypto token or ETF. Twitter users will now be able to see real-time prices for these assets and even buy and sell them directly through the social media platform.

The integration of eToro into Twitter is expected to be a game-changer for investors who use the social media platform to stay informed about the latest market trends and make financial discussions more accessible and user-friendly.

The move is part of Twitter's ongoing efforts to provide users with more tools to engage with financial markets and investing. In December 2022, Twitter also partnered with trading analysis platform TradingView to display charts for some financial instruments. Since the beginning of the year, these changes have brought an average of 4.7 million $Cashtag searches per day on Twitter, with over 420 million searches in total.
